That fresh jar smell is the best. Isn't It?

Don’t get me wrong, we love the smell of terps in the mornin’ just as much as the next resin head. But what if I told you that sweet, sweet smell was a sign of early degradation?

Terpenes are Volatile

Even at moderate temperatures (think room temp) they will steadily change from liquids to gasses. Those gasses are able to pass through the walls of the trichome head, as captured on film by our friends at Cannabonsai

So how about that fresh jar smell?

The Main Factors of Degradation

Temperature

Terpenes (and phenols and esters too) are volatile. Full stop. The volatility of all compounds is directly correlated to temperature. Increase the temperature and you will increase the rate of volatization. In layman's terms: increase temperature, lose terps.

Temperature Control

Terpenes (and phenols and esters too) are volatile. Full stop. The volatility of all compounds is directly correlated to temperature. Increase the temperature and you will increase the rate of volatilization. In layman's terms: increase temperature, lose terps. The Curidor™features an eco-friendly, compressor driven cooling system with selectable temperatures between 39-65°F. The perfect range for your flowers, rosins, oils and melts.

Light

It's hard to deny the power of the sun. It warms our planet, provides energy to all living things and puts off massive amounts of radiation. It's that radiation that burns your skin on a sunny day and that breaks down many of the most important compounds in hemp flowers and oils.

UV Protection

Every Curidor™ comes with 99.99% UV protected glass. So you can inspect and admire your stash without fear of degradation. Or, you can choose the optional blackout tint for a more discrete look.

Moisture Transfer

Moisture transfer occurs when the ambient conditions around your flowers have more or less water than your flowers themselves. Water molecules will move from areas of higher concentration to areas of lower concentration through osmosis. As moisture passes back and forth, it takes other things with it. Most notable are the extremely light and delicate water soluble terpenes.

Limit Moisture Transfer

Moisture packets release and absorb moisture to maintain a target RH%. This prompts the other items in their environment to release and absorb moisture as well. CurePro Priming Gas prevents the release and absorption of moisture - maintaining, not changing, moisture levels in your protected goods.

Oxidation

Oxygen is great, we literally can't live without it. But it's also highly reactive. It really wants to react with most anything it comes in contact with. You could call it a party animal; and lets just say you don't want a party animal anywhere near your stash.

Eliminate Oxidation

CurePro Priming Gas displaces the ambient air in your storage container and replaces it with 100% inert, 100% food grade Argon. This blanket of Argon prevents the chemical reactions that cause degradation to occur.
